LEED Green Associate - Ideal Candidates: Facility Managers, Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers, Building Engineers, Vendors, Operations Managers, District Managers, Regional Managers and Directors

  • LEED Lite Courses (or LEED Basics) are available for individuals who want working knowledge of the LEED Systems. These courses are designed for brokers to understand how to market LEED EB Buildings, or key factors to help tenants find a space ideal for LEED CI (LEED Commercial Interiors, a "tenant finish" LEED construction system).
  • Training can also be customized to fit your needs, whether you want an introduction to LEED, or a specific class such as overcoming common obstacles.  Ampajen Solutions has provided training to many national clients specific to the needs of their audience.

Non-Credential Course Options - Ideal Candidates: Brokers, Administrative Staff

  • Proof of experience on a LEED project team is required in the form of a letter from the project owner or administrator
  • Eligible individuals have the option of taking a 4-hour, 200 question test (100 Green Associate questions, and 100 LEED AP questions). If this option is chosen, the candidate must pass BOTH sections of the test to gain the credential.
  • Eligible individuals may choose to take the LEED Green Associate exam (2-hour test), pass that exam, then apply and take the LEED AP exam (2-hour test). This is the path recommended and instructed by  Ampajen Solutions.  Or, the student may sit and take the 4-hour exam in one sitting.

LEED AP with Specialty (LEED AP O+M is the Operations & Maintenance exam) - RESTRICTED to those with experience on a LEED project team only

  • The LEED Green Associate exam is a 2-hour, 100 question tested based upon fundamental sustainability concepts in the design, construction and operation of commercial and residential buildings.
  • The eligibility requirements for the LEED Green Associate exam have been removed.  However, as noted by the GBCI, it is highly recommended to complete an education course.  With continuous exam experience and tools to assist with the required memorization, Ampajen Solutions has a success rate over 90%.

In 2009, the Green Building Certification Institute became responsible for the LEED credentialing process. In the Past, the LEED AP exam was open to anyone wanting to apply. The exam has now been broken into two phases, with different requirements for each phase.
